Our Booking Secretary Ros Harre always books a variety of speakers and this makes for an interesting programme. But if you want information on a certain subject, or can suggest a good speaker, Ros would be glad to know.

Picnic on the Park

Picnic on the Park is at Wootton Park, North Wootton. We attended last year and were very impressed with Jeff Hoyle’s talents in encouraging people to take part in the Pick-a-Peg, Splat-the-Rat and other games. These were a very good money spinner, and we had leaflets and people on hand to answer questions from the public.

This is our opportunity to meet Prince Charles and HRH the Duchess of Cornwall. There will be two representatives from Care UK on the stand to help us give details of the scanning service and osteoporosis nurse’s work over the year.

Annual Quiz

We look forward to this event every year. It is one of our major fund-raisers and many thanks to Jeff Hoyle for setting the questions and generally making it such a fun evening. We will be using the South Wootton Village Hall again and they have kindly agreed to keep the charge for hiring the hall at £10 an hour.
